Managing the pediatric airway remains one of the most challenging aspects of prehospital care. This lecture will examine the unique anatomic and physiologic characteristics that distinguish children from adults and influence airway management strategies. Participants will explore evidence-based approaches to equipment selection, medication use, and training models designed to optimize safety and success in the field. Drawing on current research and real-world experience, this session will highlight best practices and outline a pathway toward an ideal, standardized approach to pediatric airway management for EMS clinicians.
