Description

The human heart is at the center of so much of the work we do in EMS—but how well do we really understand it? In this engaging and approachable session, Ed breaks down the anatomy and physiology of the heart specifically for the BLS provider. Using real-world examples and clear explanations, he connects the dots between cardiac structure, function, and the emergencies EMTs encounter in the field. Whether it’s recognizing the signs of a heart that’s struggling, understanding why certain interventions matter, or simply building confidence in your cardiac knowledge, this session will give you the tools to strengthen your practice.
