This presentation offers an inside look at the history, organization, and management of New York’s Search and Rescue (SAR) program. Participants will gain insight into the methods and coordination that drive successful rescue operations across the state. The session will also explore the search techniques employed by Forest Rangers and highlight the vital roles EMS personnel can play – both as agency representatives and as volunteers – during SAR incidents.
