Doug Wildermuth is the first Director of Emergency Medical Services at Clarkson University, bringing more than 30 years of experience in EMS education, leadership, and operations. A nationally registered paramedic and retired New York State Trooper, Doug has led statewide initiatives including equipping all NYSP patrol vehicles with AEDs and training more than 6,500 personnel in CPR/AED use. He has developed EMS curricula for law enforcement and higher education, including Clarkson’s newly launched paramedic program, and continues to support regional EMS agencies with staffing, training and consulting through his company E5 Support Services, LLC. Doug lives in Canton, NY, where he balances his EMS passion with life on a small farm alongside his wife and an impressive collection of animals.
