Michael Linehan brings over two decades of emergency medical services (EMS) experience to his role as District Chief of the Metropolitan Area Regional Office. He combines frontline expertise with strategic leadership to strengthen public safety systems across New York State.
From the outset of his career, Michael demonstrated a deep commitment to community service. He began as a volunteer EMT, supporting multiple EMS systems throughout the Lower Hudson Valley. Over the past 20 years, he has expanded his scope of practice and responsibility, while refining his leadership skills.
For the last 11 years, Michael has served within the New York State Department of Health’s Surveillance and Investigations Branch. In this capacity, he has coordinated multi-jurisdictional investigations and responses in collaboration with local and state partners. Throughout his career, Michael has embraced leadership roles that bridge field operations and administrative oversight.
Michael holds a Master of Science in Homeland Security and Public Safety Management from Pace University.
