John Curley is a Senior Police Training Technician with the Division of Homeland Security and Emergency Services, where he oversees the SWAT Program and the Active Shooter Response Course. He has a background in local law enforcement, having spent nine years with the Oneida County Sheriff’s Office in the Community Affairs Unit, as well as serving as a Field Training Officer and Academy Instructor. After high school, John joined the United States Navy, where he served for five years as an aircrewman on SH helicopters, deploying multiple times to the Middle East.
