Contreras has over 20 years of EMS experience. He began his career, working for AMR in the Miami Dade Operation but for the better half of his career, he has been a proud member of the AMR DeKalb team in Georgia. During his tenure with AMR, he has held a variety of roles – from frontline provider to multiple leadership positions – gaining deep insight into the challenges and opportunities within pre-hospital care. As a passionate advocate for health equity, Contreras is focused on reimagining how EMS can evolve to meet the demands of modern healthcare. Known for bridging the gap between tradition and transformation, he plans to improve patient outcomes through the integration of cutting-edge technology and data-driven system improvements.
