Doreen Ferguson is a dedicated Emergency Medical Technician (EMT) with over seven years of experience and a passion for shaping the next generation of first responders. She serves as a 9th-grade Career & Technical Education (CTE) teacher at The Urban Assembly Early College High School of Emergency Medicine in Manhattan, NY, where she takes pride in helping students develop the skills and confidence needed to succeed in EMS. Doreen holds a bachelor’s degree in Childhood Education and Children and Youth Studies and is completing her master’s degree in Career and Technical Education from SUNY Oswego. She is also a Certified Lab Instructor (CLI) and is in the process of earning her Certified Instructor Coordinator (CIC) certification, further strengthening her expertise in EMS education.

Drawing from her time in the field and her experience mentoring students on the ambulance, Doreen brings a real-world perspective to her teaching.
