The EMS Mental Health Fellowship is a specialized leadership and professional development program focused on advancing the mental health, wellness, and resilience of EMS clinicians. Fellows work alongside subject matter experts and state leaders to explore the unique psychological challenges facing the EMS profession while contributing to initiatives that promote mental health awareness, peer support, suicide prevention, and organizational wellness.
Through mentorship, education, research, and project-based experiences, fellows develop the knowledge and skills necessary to champion evidence-informed mental health programs within their agencies and communities. The fellowship empowers participants to become advocates for a healthier, more resilient EMS workforce while helping shape the future of provider wellness across New York State.
Each fellowship cohort lasts for one year and consists of 20 fellows with each of the 18 EMS regions in New York State represented.
